ulterior motives ?

i just asked my mum, 'does people always look out for ulterior motives when conversing?'
she says, 'no i don't, there are some people like that though.'
she makes the 'some people' sound so distant.
little did she realize that her daughter is one of them.

she probably assumes that i have some 'problems' now.
its good though :)
i think i have some problem too.
